Are those other brands reputable to you from rock-auto or should I try to look elsewhere for the Stant?

The motorad o-ring is not the same size as the OEM so it does not fit the OEM housing.
Ironically, I do not know if the stant o ring provided with the stant thermostat fits the OEM housing, because when the moto rad kept sticking after installation, I simply put my previous and still functioning thermostat back in and never had a problem.

Oh alright, should I try the four seasons one and hope that works just because its more expensive than the others on rock auto? LOL
Otherwise I guess I could try calling stores around me to see if they happen to have a staten in stock, not very hopeful though,

Any stant you buy that was made anytime recently will be a motorad.
I even thought one off eBay, it came in a box from 2012, but along the way someone had taken the real stant out and swapped it with a cheap Korean knock off.
Some people like gates, some people say they suck.
Let us know what you finally use and how long it lasts before your car overheats.

I have neglected this repair, had so little time, but now it is getting cold and I must must do it! I am confused by which temp is correct for the thermostat. The options on rock auto:
185 degrees [dorman]
192 degrees [dorman]
185 degress [Motorad ew]
192 degrees [motorad... ew]
185 degrees [gates... but the picture is motorad... ew]
unknown degrees [four seasons brand]
they all seem sad options

185 is the temperature at which it begins to open.
192 is the temperature at which it is fully open.
I don't know who gives that much of a **** about when it is fully open. If you're racing, you probably have no thermostat but you do have a plate to slow down the flow. They're supposed to about that here somewhere where Andy explains what happens if you just take the thermostat out and don't slow down the coolant flow
