That appears to be a sway bar link.

Use moog brand for replacement.

Don't be surprised if you have to cut the old ones off.
Between the nut and the joint. Quite easy w a hacksaw.
Usually replaced in pairs. No more groaning noises.

The Sway bar is referred to as the "Stabilizer Bar" in Saturn service manuals. If memory serves, the Stabilizer bar transfers weight or force from one side of the suspension to the other when making turns. Without a properly functioning Stabilizer Bar, your car may lean more than normal during turns, and steering and handling may also be affected

The

The front swaybar is beefy on the s cars. You'll confirm that if you ever replace your lower control arms or font swaybar bushings.

The DOHCs have a crappy small diameter rear sway bar. The SOHCs don't even have one.

You want those end links to stay stiff but movable so that they only yield a little via positional change if necessary during the weight shifting. There are two small bushings that separate the bar from the car one on either side center.

When the end links get all floppy and you can easily move those joints with your hand, or if they are completely frozen, they should be replaced for best performance, although it's often difficult to tell.

Moogs have a grease fitting that allows you to keep those joints greased.
