Just doing a poll to see the longest trip you have taken in your saturn. Maybe some horror or funny stories along with it?

Well, went to see family. I live in Mississippi, and #2 son lives in Fresno, California. I-10 interstate all the way to Los Angeles, then took I-5 north to Fresno. 2,387 miles one-way.

Used the wife''s car (2002 L200). Car ran well all the way there and back. Normally got 32-33 mpg on the interstate. Did drop, however, when I had to use gas that was blended with ethanol (E-10). Now, I try to stay away from ethanol blends if at all possible.

Only major problem I''ve had, was a rt front wheel bearing that went bad about 80k miles.

that''s pretty good, I had to replace both my front wheel bearings on my 1995 SL1, not that big of a deal though, got the parts for $20 each and did it myself... I wish I could say that''s all my car needed/needs, the list is way to big

Roughly 4600 miles on one trip. It was back in the summer of 1999 in my 1993 SL2. I was for the Saturn Homecoming. I drove from San Jose, California to Spring Hill, Tennessee and back.

Ewww. I''''ll never go back to Fresno. I was carjacked there and almost killed in 1995. Edited by: Low Saturn

I understand your concern about the area. Atascadero State Prison is not too far away from there. Nice little facility where the keep people like Charles Manson, and other dregs of society. Maybe your carjacker was an escapee ....

I''''m pretty sure they were gang members. They snuck up on me in a car wash, shot me twice and took my car. The car was found on fire a few hours later missing my wheels and audio equipment.
