Radiator and Heater Hose Clamp Replacement
I'm replacing the radiator hoses and the heater hoses. A mechanic previously replaced the OEM clamps with the standard screw clamps, which has torn my radiator hoses. Can you all recommend an aftermarket hose clamp replacement with a part number? Or is there another car/brand/model from which I can source it from the junkyard?
I don't believe the clamps used on the s cars were anything special.
If they are cranked down too tightly they may in fact tear into the hoses over time. The hoses may also become brittle and tear.
Just be sure you buy the right size so that the correct amount of tension can be applied without having to crank down crazily on the clamp

You need to find someone else to work on your car or do it yourself. I've been working on my own cars for over 50 years and have NEVER had a screw clamp so tight that it tore into the hose. Someone doesn't know what they're doing.
