Default Performance

Hey I just bought a 94 sl2 mtx. My mechanic told me something that Im not sure if I beleive. He told me about pulling my valve cover off and pulling something out and flipping something around. He said that if I did that, I would get better performance and gas mileage. Have you guys heard of anything like that? If so does it help? Thanks all

unless hes talking about swapping intake/exhaust cams with eachother - but I highly doubt that will work.

I would go to a different mechanic lol

you can get reground cams for the car - there good for another 15 ish hp but I dont know what that will do to gas mileage

the only other stuff that can be done to get power out of it is a good rebuild + port and polish, exhaust, and a CAI. there isnt much out there for these cars anymore.
a few other things are still made for the car though, such as suspension and other goodies like that
oh, and 'tuning' chips dont work on these cars, at all . Dont waste your money lol
