Why is it so hard to find performance parts for the 1999 sc2? Most of the suppliers cut off at 1996. Is there something wierd or special about this year? If not, can some one point me to a good web site with modification parts for this year--- thanks any assistance would be great 'cause it sure is getting frustratiing.

Check ebay for some things. I have been looking for a header and cold air intake, but that is the only place I can seem to find anything.

 

AMAZON!!!! they have some pretty good parts, and i trust them more than ebay

The reason why there are less parts for 99 and up is because the engine that they put in the 99-02 as still the 1.9L DOHC LLO, but they had made it have a roller camshaft with hydraulic lifters and rocker arms. So, the way they modified it must have been just enough to where the parts were different from the 98 to 99. With this modification the car should get more horse power from mods and should have more horses than the non roller rocker engine.
