S cars do not have a cam position "physical" sensor. Only a crank position sensor (CKP).

If you are throwing P0341, it is almost always indicative of an issue with the ignition setup.

1) use the stock NGK copper plugs.
NGK7755{#21025102, BKR4ESA11}

1 dollar a piece on Rock Auto.

The ignition system in the S car was not designed for the use of funky metal (iridium, platinum, etc) electrodes on the plugs. The reason behind why has been documented at least 6 times. No trying to be a jerk -- just don't see the point in retyping it here -- it's on he net.
Incorrect plugs are the quickest path to an 0341 you can find.

Suggest the following in the order listed (INCLUDING # 1 above)

2) Dielectric grease on the plug wire ends and the coil towers.
3) Sand the corrosion off of the coil towers w something like 220 grit. It's not gonna shine -- but you'll be ensuring good electrical contact.
4) Remove the Ign Control Module + 2 coils. There is a flat on the tranny onto which the assembly is mount using some hefty bolts.
Be sure the threads on the bolt and in the hole are free of corrosion. If not, clean them up. The grounding of the ignition system module itself is through the bolt into the tranny case. If this ground goes unreliable, the ignition behavior is.....dunno. Which is the problem. Also sand the crap if any on that flat -- seems like it is also a ground path.
5) Throttle body cleaning?
6) Even with the new gas, there's no guarantee the injectors are not gummed up Throw a few bottles of Techron into the nex for the tanks

Thanks for the great advice.

It makes sense that where the CKP sensor is located precludes it being a cam position sensor on an overhead cam engine like on the 1.9L .

Check and make sure your drive belts aren't slipping too. Even though it's low mileage, those belts are STILL old belts. Rubber deteriorates over time.
