I normally run about 400 mile to a tank of gas, I have a AT 01 SC2 with 35,000. Just recently i've lost gas mileage, I now get about 200 to a tank. My car also is idling at 2000 every once in awhile.. What can be wrong?

Alot of things. your car could be getting the wrong mixture of air and gas. have you gave it a tune up? =oil, oil filter, sparkplugs, wires ect ect. It could be the idle speed got messed up, which is an easy adjustment on older cars any way. Also i went from 350 miles down to about 200. Then I took a trip by plane came back tripometer said 149 and i had half a tank. burned the rest of the gas filled it up went to reset the tripometer and it was still at 149, now whenever i reset it it doesn't go past 9/10 of a mile. so bump your miliage with your odometer also.

 

I think I figured it out, I found a small crack in the intake tube, and my plugs were gapped at .050 so I put them to .040 and fixed the crack. I'll let you know if it works..

when was the last time you changed your airfilter that has ALOT to do with gas milage
