I''m not very savvy with the ipod, i just got one and was wondering what would be a good interface to put on a ''97 SL2. I tried the FM lighter connection and its very weak, i also don''t have the factory cassette player for the car (when bought, it did not come with it). Instead there is a simple cd in dash player. Any ideas?

Either a FM modulator, connect it to the deck''s AUX input (if it has one) or upgrade the headunit to one with ipod control.

Whats the make and model of your car headunit?

Hey I had the same problem with my saturn. It only had the stock cassette player...so i bought a very inexpensive pioneer unit which came with the mp3/ipod connection (you have to purchase the connector wire separate of couse)

Oh by the way the head unit I bought was only $107 and that was tax included. I''ll look up what the exact name of the Pioneer unit is.
