I'm looking to buy an Ipod, and would like to use it in my car for my upcoming cross country move. I have a 2005 Ion quad coupe, which has no cigarette lighter and XM radio. I heard Itrip is good, but where would I hook it up through? And is this compatible; if not, which system is? I don't want to spend money on anything that is going to cause problems later.

So fellow Saturn and Ipod owners, a little help? Thanks!

Go to your nearest Stereo install store.

Yes, but I don't want to be forced into buying anything that I'm not sure of myself. I just want to know from other Saturn enthusiats what they have used and what works best

My ION 3 has a jack that I just plug my MP3 player in to. Works great, and allows me to keep upto date on all my favorite podcasts.

Say, are there any Saturn podcasts?

in my car i have an older alpine head unit that i have a part called connex2car and it works good you can get a cheap radio from anywhere if it had a aux input on it plug your ipod into and digital siganl is always better then a fm mod like itrip at best buy you would be looking about 200 for everything you need to use an ipod and installed and would have a good warranty behind the work good wherever you move to

Look right by the emergency brake and also directly in the middle of the back seat behind the arm rest, you should have 2 data ports. looks like a lighter only larger, but trust me (i'm a chain smoker) its NOT a lighter. the one in the back will stop working when the car turns off, the one in the front will continue to work when the car is turned off up to 10 mins. if you can not find it there as i have an ion and you have a different car, then check your owner's manuel to see where yours are. if you dont have any, then go to pep boys they actualy have a lighter you can buy and wire into your car anywhere you want it to go. i went to find a converter for my data port to turn it into a lighter and they tryed to sell me one of those which i dont want so i know those exist for about 20.00. hope this helps.
