How to remove the valve spring on an SL2?

Hi, I have a 1998 SL2 with the 1.9L DOHC and it has a broken valve spring. I have the engine tore down and I am at the point where I replace it, but I am having trouble with the spring. I cant seem to find a valve spring compressor that will work. Does anyone have a way to get it out on this car? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.Edited by: sw2cam

The Saturn special tool works great [img]smileys/smiley1.gif[/img] Ive used an aftermarket one but still needed part of the factory one to make it work,sorry

No special tools needed. The tool I use looks like a giant C-clamp. Makes disassembly of the head a snap.

Mine kinda looks like this:

If the one u have has a deep enough cup not all do. which one do you have?I beleive that was the question

I just went out and looked. The one pictured is exactly like the one I have.
