Sorry to answer so late, I guess I lost that title of being most responsive. And apologizeagain as I'm not an any way, shape or form an expert on swapping motors but I can suggest you post in http://saturnfans.comin their S-series forums and you will surely receive many responses from a much larger group of Saturners, including senior Saturn techs. Good luck!

Sounds like you already have the engine. Did it come with the exhaust manifold and downpipe? You'll need those. You'll also need the A/C and power steering brackets if it didnt come with those as well. Also if the 1998 enginecamewith the intake manifold, throttle body, fuel rail and injectors, you'll need ditch everything but the intake manifold and injectors. You need a 1996-1997 throttle body and1995-1997 fuel rail. And you'll need the coresponding transmission. If you have an auto, you'll need a MP7 and if you have a manual, you'll need a MP3. And finally you'll need a 1997 DOHC instrument cluster and 1997 PCM for the correct transmission type (auto or manual) and options (A/C, cruise control, act..).
