Hey guys and gals! I'm brand new to not only the 4 cyl car scene but saturns also. I've always enjoyed cars and wanted a unique one. Hence the saturn! I'm purchasing a 94' SL2 next week. I'm pretty stoked! My firt manual too!I'll keep you guy updated and can't wait to start ripping apart the motor when i have the time/money.

Welcome to the forum. You definitely picked a unique car thats for sure, just keep an eye on your oil levels. These engines are known to burn...

welcome.

you'll find that you can pretty much let the clutch out slowly w almost no gas to get it moving from a stop so don't be burning what's left of your 18 yr old clutch.

yup check that oil often till you know how it behaves.

Thanks guys i'll keep the tips in mind and watch my oil levels after driving. The SL2 i'm getting has 117,000 miles and is in good condition. I'll post a few pictures after i get a chance to clean it up. I should be picking it up sometime between wednesday and friday. Anything i should be on the lookout for? I checked all the basics that i'm aware of in any car. I'm hoping to learn alot from this vehicle and want to do alot of DIY.
