Help fixing a fuel line.

Help fixing a fuel line.
I have included pics. I noticed this when I was working on my car the other day. Looks like a fuel line has come disconnected. I have reconnected the line, but it just keeps coming undone. My next attempt, I will use some duct tape to tape it together. I am looking for a more permanent fix. Does anyone have suggestions? Also, shouldn't this line being disconnected cause the check engine line to come on? The light comes on, but only telling me that I am having problems with the egr valve.

I'm with Derf. If it was a fuel line, fuel pump in back, fuel pressure regulated to 45# or so, if leaking, lots of fuel would come out really quick. Duct tape would not do much good. Vapor canistor vent? Probably not sensed so no check engine light, but may have a sneaky affect some where. Did not find out what it is with a quick check of servicing literature. Back in the day there were not many things to connect. In many cases did not make much difference.
But
today, that is not so true.
It would probably help to know what it is and why it aint hooked up.
Somebody just bought one of these for $100.00. Can't hardly buy a battery for that much any more.
