Dorman HW5051 caliper guide pin set x2 (front right and front left)
Dorman HW16066 caliper guide pin boot set x2

Since the pin seized on one side, it is entirely expected that the other side was not maintained as well. Therefore I strongly strongly recommend that you replace all four pins, two on each caliper, front left and front right.

Additionally, because they were not greased properly during their lifetime, the boots that they sit in where they pass through the caliper bracket have all kinds of dried grease in them that you don't want to have present as they will just muck up the new pins. They are rubber and not easy to clean out.

It is much more straightforward to start with a pristine clean surface in the boot to add the grease to keep the calipers sliding nicely on the greased pins.

There is a trick to installing the new ones that makes it super simple to install them., as at first glance, the closed end will not fit through the hole from the front.

But we will get to that.

I need a 14 mm ratchet or wrench, should i just get a less expensive set? Or the one needed? I feel like the set is a better deal, as im sure something else will break.

Unfortunately, she does not have the finances for a capable scanner to read the OBD1 codes. As stated above, this is one of the few times anyone has ever reported getting a code 13 on an OBD1 Saturn, at least in the last 18 years or however long I've been here. I had also suggested an ohm meter to check the ECTS resistance with the engine after cold soak, as that would be a pretty good indication of whether it is open, very high resistance, or very low resistance. Again, finances are an issue.
we hit the one of the old ects, one not in the engine with an ohm meter, and it was reading no resistance if i remember properly.

anywho, all of my parts came in today, i grabbed the 3/8in. ratchet set both metric and standard. Should be good to go.
