Ok I just bought my SL1 on Monday and now I'm doing my first Mod. Today I went to the junk-yard here in Phoenix... Almost passed out 110.0F heat, its ridiculous.. anyways found a sl2 with the back molding so now I have to have it painted cause I couldn't find a gold one. There is a gold one on ebay but he wants $75, and I only paid $5.00 for this one. I think painting at Macco will only cost about $50. here's a pic of the rear-lid-moulding.

 

Aahhhh -- The goodies that one can find ....

 

I have thought about doing this to my SL as well. I like the look of the SL2 rear much more than the plain paint. Let me know how much they charged you for painting the rear trunk lid.
