driver side door wont open from inside or outside. seems like lock mech is boken by the striker bolt.lock linkage is still hooked up and working lock dosent feel right. how do i get this door to open? do i need to cut the striker bolt from the inside out or is there a way to get it open. cant remove the inner door panel completly. never had this problem before. please help.

Are you able to pull the inner door panel and peel-back the plastic to see the actual lock mechanism? If so, you should be able to get at the mounting screws for the inside striker and remove them to allow the lock to disengage and the door to open. It's always preferable to pull the outer door skin for this work, but obviously you cant get to that yet. Once open & apart, you can look for the broken or jammed parts to replace. I've been looking for a full parts list, but have yet to find one one.
