Question Clutch tool help!!!

I can't seem to find anywhere around me that sells a clutch tool that fits a 97 saturn sl2. The thing is, im doing an entire engine swap not a new clutch i just need to put the old clutch on the new motor. Anyone in the NJ area know anything that can help? Thanks!

How many splines does your clutch plate have on it? I found these at Autozone. Different # of splines on each one and it's up to you to count them. I don't have the car here. LOL

How many splines does that clutch plate have? Surely someone here knows or can point you in the right direction. Only other thing I can think of is to try a Saturn friendly GM dealership. Take the clutch disc with you.

Sounds like a great deal. I just find it amazing that with as many Saturns as there are still on the road, that nobody has a clutch alignment tool for it.

I don't know why the number of splines makes any difference. The tool only needs two steps in it, one for the pilot hole and one for the inside diameter of the splines. It does not need to match the splines themselves.

Good point, Keith. But the spline count being the same just makes it all that much easier to line it all up. But you already knew that, I'm sure.
