What's involved with replacing the clutch on a 1996 SL2?

Can it be accomplished without too much difficulty and are any specialized tools required?

Does anyone know the approximate cost if it's done by a repair shop?

I do this kind of job myself, so I wouldnt know the cost at a shop. I usually just remove the entire engine and transmission and do it out of the car. If the car needs a clutch, its usually time for other things as well. Much easier to do it out of the car. Plus its faster. Only takes me a little over an hour to remove a Saturn engine/tranny.

Its also possible to support the engine from above then remove the engine cradle. This allows you to remove the tranny from below while leaving the engine in the car.
