Hello,

My car makes a rattle noise from the passenger transmission I think. This only happens after I drive it at least 2 hours. When the noise does appear, it gets worse and I push the gas.

could this be caused by a radiator?

Thanks!

I have a 94 saturn sc2 and i had the same rattling noise. All of the forums
told me that it was the timing chain and to replace all of the parts along with
it. After purchasing and replacing the timing chain the noise continued. I
took it to a Saturn dealer and they said that it was the belt tensioner and i
recently replaced it and the noise stopped, i also found that the heat shield
was also making a noise. You should located your belt tensioner and listen
closely to it. Good Luck.

The transmission is on the drivers side.

Safely lift the car in the air and determine where the noise is coming from, from under the car.

My catalytic converter was making a bunch of noise. The way the noise was reflecting off the ground made it sound like it was coming from the passenger side of the engine when the hood was open.
