Saturn S Series Sedan SL, SL1, and SL2

can i replace 99 sl1 engine for 02 sl2 ?

hey buddies, i have a concern about this. i want to ask you if i can remove an 99 sl1 engine and put in there a 02 sl2 engine on my 1999 Saturn. I will be glad if you can help me.

It won't work. The intake manifold is a different set up from 2000 and up. The Its a waste of time trust me, Ive been thru that headache before. Plus you have to replace the engine wiring system because the SL1 set up is different from the SL2. Its a real pain to do. Your best bet is to find a 95-99 SL1 motor to swap with.
