A meter to check electrical stuff can be had for under $20

@derf Thanks. I'm going to change the fuse first since it's simple and inexpensive. If that doesn't solve the issue, I'll check back in.

@derf I had the fuses checked, they're all fine. I've never done electrical work, but if you think it's something someone with no experience could do, I'm game. I will definitely need all the advice and instruction I can get.

Some brake light switches have an adjustment on them. Does yours? Maybe the new one just needs to be properly adjusted. IDK, just guessing. Some of my old Mopars would lose contact and a simple adjustment would take care of it. Maybe derf knows and will tell you how to do this, if possible. What say you, derf?
