I have a 2002 SL1. Both of my brake lights (the ones by the tail lights) aren't working. I've now replaced the brake switch and both brake lights and they still aren't coming on. The blinkers work and the brake light in the back window works, just not the ones by the tail lights.

 

Fuse?

Look here first. If the high mounted brake light works the switch works. Look at this diagram.

 

How about parking lights.
Same bulbs but different current source/path

 

I don't see any mention of checking the fuse box. Did you do that?

@derf are you saying it might be an electrical problem? I'm not sure how to check electrical components.
