Question Adding Coolant

I need to add some coolant to my 2001 Saturn SL1. I bought some 50/50 pre-mixed coolant from O'Reillys that says it is designed for ANY car, model, etc. I have never added coolant before so I just wanted to make sure it's ok to add this to whatever is already in there. Thanks

What color is the mixture in your vehicle now? What color is the 50/50 mixture that you want to add? Do the colors appear to be the same (or very close)? Take this line of reasoning to its obvious conclusion ...

Thanks oceanarcher. I haven't opened the bottle yet, but the new coolant is O'Reilly 50/50. The coolant in my Saturn now is a pink color, so I'm guessing it's not the original DexCool.

Pink color? That's DexCool. Can't speak for the O'Reilly 50/50 simply because I don't use the stuff. If I hadda go aftermarket, I'd use Prestone, but that's my choice ...
