Default 98 SL1 Wont Start Sometimes

Alright here's the deal...

When I try to start the car, it CLICKS but the engine doesn't turn over...

If I leave it alone for a while after that it will sometimes start without a problem...

The lights still come on, i still have power, and my battery is only a month old.

Push starting the car works everytime, but when i turn if off again it still wont start on its own.

Any ideas? I'm assuming that I just need a new starter but someone said it could be the generator or just the cables to the starter so I wanted to see what others say....

Thanks for the help

Yes definitely the battery cables (that would be my bet guess as well)...but you might want to see if the battery cable going to the starter is tight!

Usually the positive cable fails first. Corrosion starts under the wire jacket where it can't be seen. Makes the cable look like a 2x4 attacked by termites.
