I have a 95 that I just pulled the old transmission out of. I put in a used one and have gone 200 miles on it. It does pretty well except for the fact that it does some weird things in 1st. If I put it in 1st I have to push on the gas before it engages. then when i stop at a light or anything its like it kicks out of 1st to N and then i gota push the gas again and it will rev for a short second and then engage again. Anybody have any idea whats wrong or how to fix it. I have all new fluid (over 2 gallons) and it was COMPLEATLY drained, and i have a new external filter. let me know what you know.

 

When a trans pops out of gear, it usually means the synchros and/or gears are worn. Could also mean the linkage cables are damaged. Is this unit under warranty?
