The car will make the door open sounds and have all lights on, but when I turn it to the run position, the door beeping goes away but all the lights stay on. I had the battery and starter checked, both were good, but i bought a new starter just in case, and that changed nothing, so I am now wondering what could be causing this?

 

I have no ideal what this is saying?

Do you mean the chime?

If you turn it to run but don't start it, the door showing I think eventually times out..
Close your door before you put it to run

 

Yes the door chime is what im taking about, trying to stsrt it with door closed changes nothing, my dash lights come on, and I can hear the fuel pump priming but that it it, no other sounds or response

 

The chime for the door stays on when its open until I move the key to the run position. The lights on the dash come on, but other than that and the fuel pump priming, I have no response from the car.

 

Try shifting to neutral and back to park.

 

So I guess this is a "no crank" situation?
