PS Rube. I love your avatar. Is that a P51? Is there a specific reason you chose that?

I used to be a huge WWII fighter plane fan. The P51 was a bad azz plane in it's day and I just loved the configuration of it. And I have a brother in law that actually was a Navy pilot on an aircraft carrier. He said he got to fly a P51 one time and loved it. He was in the Navy during the Korean war, not WWII.

G-D GMPartsGiant.com. Ordered my $1.11 fitting on Friday along with the $9.99 S&H. Today I get an email from then telling me that the part now costs $14.63 and still with $9.99 S&H because they have to get the part from a vintage source. Luckily I know where they are getting part from. A place called Vintage Parts out of Beaver Dam, WI. I would have ordered the part originally from Vintage Parts but they wanted $6.02 with $12.04 for S&H. So now that GMPartsGiant is over $23 for this little part and Vintage Pars is about $18, I guess I'll cancel my first order and submit a new order with Vintage Parts. Another 2 days lost. Everything is back together including oil in the pan and antifreeze in the coolant system less this fitting. GRRRRRRRRR If I don't find an engine to work on soon, my wife is going to find "stuff" for me to do. Aggghhhhhh!

Too bad I'm not still in Tennessee. I'd bring you my PT Cruiser. I was only 6 hours from St. Louis when I lived in New Johnsonville. I'd been to St. Louis a few times and really liked the city.

Whenever I order obscure stuff like that, I always call to verify inventory. When you have a 95 SC2, it's amazing how many discontinued parts you can find listed for sale.

At least the rockautos of the world give a crap

Nice to see progress, but sad to see it stalled out over a ten dollar part... Hey, when you're done with Derf's LSJ, you you wanna rebuild both of mine?
