2nd Row swap 2008 Outlook XR
Hello all,
We just picked up a 2008 Outlook XR and already looking to add more seating to it. We've got a family of 7 and looking to swap out the two buckets we have for a bench to allow for the +one ability for a kid's friend or family member. I've already looked and the attatch points for the the bench rail are already in the floor board. So just seeing if anyone has a bench and wanting buckets and is wanting to swap |
Might wanna start checking local junk yards.
|
I agree - the local u-pull-it yards would be my first stop ....
|
Forget the names of the other GM rigs that were clones of the OUTLOOK .. may find a seat from one of those to use. Not that the covering would be a dead on match unless the leather ones are the same.

i think he left

Those Outlooks are damn nice rides.............hope he find the seats.

I realize that it is reported that Saturn closed the doors through lack of sales. That said it still amazes me the number of them I see on the road even today. May it is a function of the local dealer network or local advertising. But it is also an indicator of the success GM has had in marketing their brands while showing the rest of the world how it is done. I recently read a review of the new Cadillac and it's recognition of needing to compete with Audi and Mercedes at that level of automotive competition while also recognizing the need to rebuild it lost acceptance as a leader in automotive design and manufacturing. With stellar examples like the Cimarron a poorly conceived badge engineered (politically correctly called a corporate platform or another way to produce the same car with different names) a Cadillac that can be instantaneously associated with the word "Econobox" rather than "Industry Leader" and by itself probably did more to destroy the presence of he car as a world leader than anything could. It takes a long time to establish acceptance and it can be destroyed over night a factoid marketing people have for gotten or if they come from financing back ground, never learned.

The GM Acadia and the Buick Enclave all show up in the same GM Shop Manuals, surprising how lots of the trim and inside styling is different, but perhaps seats are a bigger design investment.

Dude, with all due respect this is a 6 year old thread.......necroposting is discouraged unless
you have some type of breakthrough that, although the OP may have left gotten married divorced for cheating on his wife with an insatiable co-ed then died in a car crash involving the very same 2nd row seats we discussed (busy in back seat, not wearing seat belts, among other things) the rest of us would find highly useful. Don't get me wrong...we like to chat on this forum, just not in 6 year old posts |
Even the ancient contents of this forum show up in searches, so might be helpful to someone, sometime...?
