Default 2001 L300 Speedometer

My car wouldn't start (or take a jump) the other day. I had the battery checked and it had a full charge but failed the load test. Replaced the battery and now the speedometer stays at zero and the trip odometer reads zero. Funny thing is that the cruise control still works. Any idea what could be wrong?

++++++++The engi+ne +oes not start but the CC works ........ thats pretty cool. You can cruise down the road with the engine not running. You'll save a bunch in gas.

i have the exact same problem with my car... see if your ac is working, cause my bcm (body control module) went out on me and not my ac doesnt work (happened to my fellow l300 friend too) and the whole instrument cluster will only work for a fraction of a second right after the key is inserted then wont work the rest of the drive.

Fuses would be the place to start, then check for loose ground straps/wires
