2000 ls2 just dies ocasionally.took and got code read said it was internal control module. Does this sound right ? Where is it? Cant seem to find much on this when looking ignition control module comes up. Same thing??? Daughters car she says she shuts off everything waits a minute and it starts right back up.

Please post the code itself. It will be in the format

Pxxxx where each x is a number from 0 to 9. .This will allow us to determine which module is likely causing the issue..

Be sure to include all codes along with any other "problems" w the vehicle (eg rough idle, overheats, shifts roughly....so we get an overall picture of the situation. Seemingly unrelated problems can share a common cause

I would try another ecm and do the passlock relearn. I can post that procedure if you choose to go that way.

If you purchase an ecm at a local wrecking yard make sure you know the reason the car is there. I have purchased bad ecms from cars with no body damage. I think the 2000-2002 take the same ecm but have a wrecking yard verify. The 2003-2005 cars have some different throttle parts.
