Default Power Steering not working

How Group,
Iam having issue with power steering on a LW1 wagon, 2.2 liter. Replaced the steering rack, power steering pump and hoses. 122,000 miles on car. Runs great just no power steering, bleed the system. the pump just does not seem to have enough pressure, I tried to different aftermarket pumps, Any ideas, its just a simple system pump is driven from the overhead cam.
Thank You in advance.

Has it ever worked since you owned it? You are correct that it is a simple system, however the pump runs half the speed of the v6 pump since it is driven by the intake cam. If it has never worked it may have an Ion intake cam in it without the drive. Ions have electric power steering.

As in replaced or engine swap from an Ion 2.2?

Hello Everyone,
Here is the latest issue tried to differnt pumps Elderman and Master pro. The shaft on hte master pro does pull out not on theElderman. I did get good pressure on the master pro after pulling out the shaft a little bit. It seems the shaft are to short to seat into the Cam shaft driver. Is it possible all the aftermarket pumps are out of spec. I order a couple of differnt brands to double check. Dealer does not have any thing availble. It just seems when i tighten down the pump the shaft is not catching the Cam shaft to turn the pump. Any thoungts. Thanks in Advance
