Default Lw200 (2.2) or LW300 (3.0)

Hello all, long time saturn wagon lover. Here is the deal, currently have a lw300 which has many problems. Has been off the road for 10+ years and needs much work to get going, massive oil leak might need a transmission etc. It is very hard to find saturn parts in general but especially for these 3.0's. I just found a 2.2 wagon for sale, should i just go with that and save myself a headache. I know these 2.2 were in many other cars and should be easier to find parts for etc. Funny thing is the wagon for sale is the same color so I'd be able to swap any exterior parts. Just want some input but right now it seems like a better option to get the running 2.2

If they are the same year range most parts are the same. 2000-2002, 2003-2005 are the body breaks. Mechanically and electrically they are different animals. I have used L300s as parts cars for L200s for many years. The L300 has a timing belt that can fail due to improper maintenance. L200 has a timing chain that can also fail due to improper maintenance. If proper maintained these cars last for many miles unless they rust away. I have 280,000 miles on my L200/5, with proper oil changes.
