I could use some help with my 2001 l300, 3.0l V-6

About a week ago, the service engine light (not the service
engine soon) light began to come on after about 5 minutes of driving. </span>I took it to Autozone to get the trouble
codes read and they weren’t getting an codes.
</span>I had turned the car off and when it was turned on to read the codes,
the service engine light wasn’t on. </span>They
said the light had to be on to read the code, which I thought was strange because
I thought the codes were kept until reset.
</span>

The next day I stopped again with the light on and had them
read it again. </span>Still not codes. </span>The guy said I should go to the dealership.

I kept driving it because it was running fine. </span>About a day later the security light began
to flash. </span>This indicated the Passkey
system had an error. </span>I figured that the
Passkey system was causing the service engine light. </span>

Yesterday, I noticed that the Security light would flash,
then the temperature gauge would drop out and the fuel gauge would drop
out. </span>I am guessing now that there is an
electrical component failing. </span>

Today, I have more of my instrument panel lights flashing,
including the cigarette lighter light and the gear position light on the gear
shift. </span>The speedo and tach are now dead
along with the fuel and temperature guage.
</span>

Has anyone had this problem or have an idea where I should
start checking in the electrical system.
</span>First place I will start is the two fuse panels and all the relays. </span>

Any other ideas???
</span>Other than the gauges and lights, the car is running fine.Thanks In Advance!

I'm glad i'm not the onlyone with electrical problems I have an L300 that cam with an auto start button from carmax and loe n behold my luck it locked up n grinded my flywheel up and burned my starter up and now my ignition won't even work unless i just set the key on the on position and it will turn on by itself and then i can't get it to turn off even after disconnecting the battery it ran for about 15 mins. untill i decided to pull the engin fuse to shut it off......i'm regreting buying a freekin saturn and the crappy part about it is that i can't get n e 1 to touch it unless its a saturn dealership.....i mean its not like its a BMW y won't a regular GM dealership touch it?
