Converting 15" steel wheels to 16" alloys
My 2003 L200 has 15" steel wheels with hubcaps. It seems that all of the original stock alloys that are available are all 16". What am I missing? Can I just replace 15" wheels with 16" wheels? I'm trying to keep my car as original as possible.

One man's beauty is another man's beast.
Wouldn't his speedometer be off ? How do manufacturers tweak that on a vehicle? Does the VSS signal go to the PCM before the electronics of the instrument cluster so that multiple speed calibration curves are possible?

Just stay with the same circumference tire for the speedo. The Lw had 205/65-15 tires, the l200 sticker says 195/65-15. The bcm drives the speedo, I plan to wear out the 205s then buy 195s. The only reason I described the first set of wheels as ugly was the corrosion not the style. If they were in nice shape I would have kept them. if I had a tech II I could probably adjust for tire size. I know I can adjust the Ford speedo's at work with the Ford program.
