Default Another **** deer tonight.

In the same spot as the one I hit just before Christmas. Now I will use the hood off the parts car, I ordered a pair of headlights from Rock Auto. The top radiator support is down some but I don’t think the radiator is hurt. I need to put more stuff away in my shop to get the hoist freed up. I need to get this car in the air and get the bumper off for further evaluation. I am considering a deer guard that slides into the towbar mounts. I have an extra set of those brackets. It was only 95 here today, excessive heat warnings all week. We are a couple hundred miles North of all the forest fires in Southern Oregon.

You're just going to have to remember to slow down through that area, Andy. Did you at least get to keep the meat this time? Maybe not a good idea though unless you could process it pretty fast. Spoilage in that heat would happen pretty quickly! I just hate to think of good venison going to waste! Main thing is that YOU are not hurt.

So the Rock Auto Chinese headlights showed up today. I opened one box and they have simplified the design. The factory headlights are multi piece, they allow removing part of the assembly to access bulbs without removing the bumper cover. The new lights will need the bumper cover removed to replace bulbs. It is probably ok since I hit deer more often than lights burn out. LOL

I finally drove the car after dark, they are way out of adjustment! I am going to put the car in the shop for a few weeks to replace the fuel pump and the rear lower control arms. I will work on the headlight aiming while in the shop. The brights are not too bad but one is very low both high and low.

Well, heck, Andy. Leave them the way they are and you can possum hunt and coon hunt at the same time! LOL
