2000 LS2 crank case ventilation
I'm a former member of Saturn Fans since 2015 when I purchased my first Saturn. Just for forum reference. I have a 2000 LS2 with the 3.0. I found oil in the intake tubes changing the plugs, that wasn't there the last time I had them off. What I got online states that the PCV system may be clogged and forcing oil into the tubes. I also noticed one cylinder with oil that leaked down onto the plug on bank one. Valve cover gasket was another possible issue. Without disassembling of the intake and valve cover, is there any way to check for clogged ventilation ? There were some suggestions online, but I usually get my information thru the forum. I just don't want to go thru all that mess just to check the PCV reed valve for any malfunction, supposedly mounted in the rear cover. Thanks for any info.

Use the following procedures to determine if the PCV system is functioning properly:
1. Remove PCV hose from cam vent housing.
2. Run engine at idle.
3. Place your thumb over ind of vent housing hose to check for strong vacuum signal. If vacuum is not present, check for a plugged intake manifold port. Replace any clogged components or clean out plugged port.
