Default 2000 LS2 A/C Clutch Removal

With all the troubleshooting I've done on the A/C system, I found out the clutch has went out.

Has anyone on here, put a clutch on the 3.0L "WITHOUT" removing the compressor from the car?
I really don't want to have to remove it, cause I don't want to lose the charge it has.

I don't know about the Saturns, Tooter, but back in the old days of working at Autozone, most GM products a/c clutches were threaded inside the pulley and you could actually get a clutch remover tool from the loan-a-tool program. But, that was a LONG time ago and much has changed since then. One of the other members here may be able to tell you.

never touched an L car but i doubt there is enough room (clearance) to attach the pulley puller tool onto the compressor with it still in the car.

But don't quote me on that

nine minutes because you type too slow and your most often used key is backspace

Maybe you'll luck out and be able to just remove the compressor from the bracket and have enough flex in the hoses to change the clutch out on the car. And derf, if you weren't looking at **** so much, you'd be quicker on the keyboard instead of on the trigger! LMAO
