Transmission won't shift into 4th gear after throttle body reduced power
2007 saturn ion 2.2L
Car went into reduced power limp mode. Car also would not shift into 4th gear. Tried cleaning the connector in the driver's side kick panel but that didn't help. Throttle body was replaced and programed by mechanic and works now with no codes but the car still won't shift into 4th gear. Tried a flush and filter on the transmission and still nothing. Scan of transmission shows everything working as it should. Mechanics suggestion is transmission rebuild for $3800. Hoping I can find an answer here before sending it to the scrap heap.
