Transmission fluid brands and fluid check questions
From the 2007 Ion owners manual:
"If the word OFF or the off symbol is lit on the airbag status indicator, it means that the passenger sensing system has turned off the right front passenger’s frontal airbag." (page 169)
If there is no one in the front passenger seat, this is normal. If there is someone in the seat, it needs to be investigated and corrected, as the airbag will not deploy in an accident.

Glad your vehicle is running better.
In the future, please try to include ALL pertinent info in the first post. We all forget small details and add them as soon as possible. But you are still adding detail in your long term follow-up post.
We all like to help each other, but that becomes very very difficult with only part of the information.

Thanks
As stated, the light lit with no one in the seat is normal, as you verified in your other car. The code B0092 indicates a fault with the 'Passenger Present System' in the passenger seat. Either an internal fault in the control module for that unit, or, it can also throw the code if the seat gets wet. In either of these cases, the light will remain lit even with a passenger in the seat until the problem is found and corrected. And the passenger air bag will not deploy if in an accident.
