Hello everyone. I'm looking to upgrade the stereo in my ION 2 Quad Coupe. I just have the standard AM/FM/CD configuration. What I want is an in dash single disc player that will support mp3 cds, have a display that scrolls the song titles.

The other prerequesite, and i've only heard of these never seen one, is that some car stereos have USB connections where you can plug an MTP enabled mp3 player directly into the stereo.

Can anyone offer any advice? Thanks for any help.

Yes, they make head units that have usb ports, but Im not sure as to how much they can do? do some research online.

you can go to best buy and buy the things there, theyll help you out and install it for free if you buy it from there,

or you can buy a head unit off line or in a store, get a headunit housing adapter kit, and do it yourself. you just have to a get a wire harness adapter to make it easier or a wire diagram to know whitch wire does what. you can find the wire hardness adapters on ebay, thats what I did, I have a 06 ion QC I installed the head unit with little trouble.

how that helped you at all

Thanks for the advice. I'll start my search. They just opened a Best Buy in my city in August. I'll have to take a ride over and see what they have.

yeah best buy is a really good place for car audio and video and what, and usually not too exspensive either.

One thing about best buy is they really don't know to much about anything in the store, I'd try to talk to an installer.
