Default Saturn 2004 ion 2 trans light flashing on odometer

Hey guys I could use some help again, a couple weeks ago we found out by accident that the fan to the radiator had a wire that looked like it had broken prior and melted the connection harness there we replaced the harness and ran it back to the existing wiring nice and neat and everything worked perfectly for about two weeks and the transmission hot light started coming on again a few days ago? It seems to come on every time you start the car and it hasn’t even warmed up?? Then it’s periodically while driving and only sometimes does it mess with the function of driving? Last night it was coming on while parked in the garage for ten minutes straight without stopping and it’s never done that as well as when the a/c is running which turns the fan on and usually doesn’t show up then but now it doesn’t matter?and it also throws no codes at all even when it’s actually doing it? I’m stuck on this one and I swear it’s probably something with the coolant system or a grounding issue with the TCM possibly? The no code thing is really strange

Are you scanning the TCM?

No and apparently the scanner wasn’t able to but I took it to someone who couldn’t get codes either and suggested it has a short in the wiring and wanted to keep the car for a week, and he also said that there’s a cover missing on the TCM and ECM wiring at the engine compartment and of course they had oil and other crap all over them and we took it all apart and cleaned them with electrical cleaner and put it all back together and everything is fine now? It hasn’t happened since and I have ordered a new cover for it hopefully that was the issue?

The question is where did that oil come from?
