I think any vehicle is prone to problems. My friend has had hers since 2006 and hasn't had any problems. I've known a couple people with oddessys and no one has said anything about transmission problems...so Idk.

 

I concur on the new Odysseys and the tranny problems. I think they tried to pretend there was no problem, but too many people were filing class action lawsuits over their failure to recall, and the NHSTA complaints were pouring in....I had a neighbor that had one -- as soon as the tranny started getting weird they dumped it back on the dealer and got a Pilot

Hopefully the master cylinder/reservoir gets fixed... Would hate to see such a nice ION not get driven...

Sad to see you get into a minivan(I consider crossover the same thing) but if you do, Ford makes a few decent ones... Could probably find a nice Flex, 3row, EcoBoost, AWD... Way more fun and reliable than the Odyssey, and it's a domestic(Made in Mexico/Canada)...
