I think they are all across the country but he doesn’t need a local rusty part. I don’t have time to go even if I need something!

Where are you located? What state? I see by going to pullapart.com, that they have an 05 Ion five speed in their yard. I don't know if it's the same as the 06, but someone here may know. If you're in the Southeast, there are several pull a part yards. I used to love to go to the one in Nashville before I let the wife talk me into moving to Hell (Lake Wales, FL) for 5 years. I'm now back in the real South (Alabama) where I belong and speak the language.

Billy knows where aftermarket Ion clutch lines are available. Maybe search his posts.

Aftermarket ones need an lsj/lnf slave or an 05+ cobalt/hhr/g5 slave.
I should probably start stocking these lines as I sold my last stock one.
