2” lowering with 24.96” tires
Hello. My daughter rear-ended a pick up last summer with her 04 Ion QC. The front clip and core support was toast. We rebuilt it, she and I, and I’m happy to say it is back on the road. But she caught the fever and now wants to mod it out. We put on 225/45/17’s which are a real upgrade from the 195/50/15’s it had. But now she wants to drop it 2”. Factory wheels are 24.3” (I think), and her new ones are 24.96”. Will a 2” drop cause the new tires to rub? Thanks for any help you might be able to provide.

I saw this on FB. Good to see people coming here for helpful info and not the crap there.
2in drop will be fine.
What else is she looking to do? I have parts galore for these things.
I actually have a brand new set of 2in drop springs as well.

We will be replacing the front struts and some of the front suspension parts. Eventually the cv joints/axles.

DNA motorsports. I paid 80 shipped for em but is let em go for 60 shipped.
I actually have 25k mile kyb excel g struts and the matching shocls with 500 miles on em.
Also have stock redline springs. They more so just square off the body then lower it.
Got brand new fe1 co tell arms. Theyve been installed, but 0 miles.
I can get an entire package deal together for you if you want
Is it auto or 5 speed?
