Hey everyone. I have two weird problems, not sure if its all electrical or what. My 2007 aura xe has been running fine, no stalls, no problems at all so far. However here the past month or so after i fill the car up I can turn the key over in which it will attempt to start. It will immediately shut off not completing the start up cycle( almost like it halfway starts) then when i restart it up it will keep starting itself even after i let the key go. Runs fine afterwards but doesnt sound good and quite embarrassing when im at a gas station. Any ideas? Oh and my license plate lamp is out although ive replaced the bulb. Definitely need an answer for that if somebody has one.

 

Sounds like the fuel pump is starting to fail. I have Fords at work that have a timed crank cycle, it will crank until it starts or times out. Even if you let go of the key. You have to turn the key to off to get it to stop cranking. If the light and plate go up with the trunk lid there is probably a broken wire near the trunk hinge inside, the wires run down my driver's side hinge on my Saturn.
