Default New Member, looking for gas tank shield

Hi, I'm a new member! I have a beautiful 2009 Aura XE, but the gas tank shield is rusted out and I can't find a replacement anywhere. I've found new straps, I just need the shield. Any tips where I might find one?
Thanks in advance!!

If you can confirm it's the same as an 07 my local yard has 1. I'll be going there tomorrow or Sunday.
I live in Texas, so very large chance it's rust free. Shipping on the other hand may be pricey depending on size.

Looks like gm 15779888 might be what you're looking for?
If those dimensions are correct, shipping will definitely be pricey.

Oh wow!! Yes, according to the website, that's the one I need! How much is it, and how much do you think it would be to ship it from TX to PA?

I'm kinda sticker shocked myself by this one, but plugging in the dimensions from that website, and I just picked a Pittsburgh zip code since that was the first town I thought of, cheapest quote I got was $250. Kinda insane. But I guess because of the size. I don't know

Drat. If that's just for shipping... My mechanic at my local AAA shop says she might be able to custom-make one if we can't find one. I think I'm going to go for that, unless another possibility comes up soon. But thanks so much for checking it out for me - I really appreciate it!!

Yea, prices have gotten crazy. I would have passed on that quote, too.

Sure would. It's gas tank sized. May need to lay the back seats down. But I've fit an engine in the trunk of my ion. It'll work.

If you can't find a suitable one, I think you can go to a local auto repair shop and customize one.
