Ebay is your friend. https://www.ebay.com/itm/13266458829...YAAOSwiYBiAkcy
Next question: Have you ordered from a foreign country before? Is it safe to do?

Your Astra is a European car. My Saturn L is a European car. I get my suspension parts from EbayUK. I entered the part number you listed and came up with many hits all in Europe. GM Europe sold many times more of our particular cars in Europe than here. Have your mechanic verify that this is the correct part. If you find a vendor in England call them they speak English. Hope this helps.

Thank you for that info. I just looked at ebayuk and saw them all! My mechanic is not too up on helping me figure out how to purchase out of Europe or how to make sure it's the right one. So, if you were me, which one would you buy? My local GM dealer looked up the discontinued part number for me -- it's 9193188. My car is a 2008 Astra 5-Door XE, left hand drive, 1.8L DOHC 4-cyl, 4-speed automatic.

I would probably by the OEM part from the German vendor. If you read through the listing it is an original New GM part with the correct part number.

Wanted to thank you again for directing me to EbayUK. I purchased one of the units from an Italian site since the shipping was the fastest. It arrived in less than a week of when I ordered it! My mechanic put it in and I'm back on the road!! I was ready to sell the car for parts before you kindly replied to my original post!

I spoke too soon. After driving about 80 miles it started happening again. Had to have it towed back to the shop. Mechanic said his guess is it needs new wiring, or an ECM, or a throttle body and probably can't get the parts. I think it may be time to junk the poor thing! So sad! It's such a great car! Only 140k miles and runs like a top except for this issue.
