Hey I have a 1997 saturn sc2, and I have two issues I''m dealing with. The first one doesn''t seem too bad, my coolant low light blinks when I know that the coolant isn''t low. I keep checking about every day just to make sure, but its always full. I don''t have an owner''s manual with it so I can''t check to see if it means anything else.

The second thing is there is oil in one of my cylinder heads. It''s not much but enough to be noticable. It doesn''t smoke or miss, but it can''t be good I''m sure. I just don''t know if it''s major or minor. Nothing is running badly since I replaced my ECTS. That was the best thing I ever did for my car.

I would appreciate any help, thanks.

Sounds like the little float that senses the level of fluid is either damaged, or is hanging up on something. Disconnect the coolant tank, remove it from the car and flush/clean it thoroughly.

1. The float is dirty or gummed up. Drain the coolant until the tank is empty, remove the tank, then clean it out. Use hot water and dishwash soap. Shake it around until you can hear the float start to rattle. If it never starts to rattle, you''ll need a new tank.

2. The cylinder head is supposed to have oil in it. do you mean that you have oil down in the spark plug well? Thats probably what it is and you need the change the valve cover gasket. Use a preformed gasket and follow the directions I have on my website:
