Transaxle Leak - 1996 SC1
</>I am an experienced mechanic, just not any with Saturn so I am looking for input from those who are.
My son has a 1996 SC1 that has developed a Transaxle leak. The leak appears to be from behind the torque converted cover, which means that it is likely the seal on the torque converter. I read somewhere that an O-ring is used instead of the typical oil seal.
What is common on this vehicle?
What is the best way to pull the transaxle? Up or down? With engine or without?
Any input from knowledgeable Saturn folks is welcome.

Correction: Since it was under the vehicle -- I am not certain which one it was. I know it wasn't the one on top of the engine. I had to replace it under the vehicle on the right hand side. I am not certain how to determine the exact sensor location. Does this error code "P0174 - System Too Lean Bank 2" throw for both upstream and downstream on Bank2? So I am certain it was Bank1 that I replaced (Just not sure downstream / upstream)
Do I just purchase both Bank1 downstream/upstream and replace them? Or is there a mechanical way of determining a rule out before purchasing parts?
Thank you again. Asking these questions are helping.

You stated that the SES codes were cleared but that the light stays on after bulb check.
Would this not indicate the presence of codes that have returned?
Please re read the codes and repost.
